Welcome to Strawberry Creek Orchids.  Founded in 1985 and named for the creek that runs through the property, the nursery is located on nearly six wooded acres on the remote Redwood Coast in Northern California, giving ideal conditions for cloud forest orchids. The greenhouses contain nearly 11,000 square feet of Odontoglossums and allied cool-growing Oncidiinae, including Cyrtochilums.

The foundations of hybrid Odontoglossum and Odontioda breeding at Strawberry Creek Orchids have come from the best:  From Mansell & Hatcher, Ltd. and McBeans in England, where it all started, from The Eric Young Orchid Foundation on Jersey in the Channel Islands, and from the West Coast here at home where we have so many growers and hybridizers devoted to the future of Odontoglossums.  Certainly the hybrids of Bob Dugger figure prominently in the breeding program, as well as those of Tim Brydon, Bob Hamilton, Howard Liebman, and Wally Thomas in Vancouver B.C., to name a few.

The emphasis here is on producing hybrids of quality and beauty which will provide a banquet of colors and patterns rarely found in any other genera.
